Fine Unwin & Rodgers Breechloading Rimfire Knife Pistol
One of the more well known knife pistol makers, Unwin & Rodgers entered the field during the percussion era and continued releasing models in the cartridge era. A set of folding blades, 3 1/4" and 3" long, run along the fold up trigger, with the makers markings on the left ricasso on each. The octagon barrel is solid German silver with a steel breech, stamped "NON*XLL" on the right side, the two-line Sheffield address on the left, crossed scepter proofs on the upper left, and a bead sight. , set atop the knife portion with a silver bead front sight, a pair of Birmingham proofs on the upper left flat and the percussion nipple set in an "in-line" configuration, with a smooth niter blue hammer. The overall frame is constructed from iron, silver and silver finished brass, with near total coverage from a pair of black horn grip panels, checkered at the rear with a storage compartment in the butt.

Fine, with some light dings visible on the silver parts, spotting and a few areas of pitting on the steel. Some light cracks are visible in the grips, which are otherwise fine. Mechanically excellent.
