Produced from 1863 to 1875. Blue pinch blade front sight and top strap groove rear sight, with "PATENTED SEP. 14, 1858 / E. REMINGTON & SONS, ILION, NEW YORK, U.S.A. / NEW MODEL" stamped on the top barrel flat. Single letter inspection markings are stamped on several parts. Brass trigger guard and smooth two piece grips. The left grip panel has a clear script "OWA" cartouche. The barrel and both grips are numbered to the gun.
BBL: 8 inch octagon
Stock:
Gauge: 44 percussion
Finish: blue
Grips: walnut
Serial Number: 95309
Condition: Very fine. The revolver retains 60% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. The grip straps have thinned to a smooth gray patina with streaks of finish remaining on the butt. There is a small chip of wood absent from both panels near the frame, otherwise the grips are very fine with some minor scattered minor handling marks. The cartouche is crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
