Manufactured from 1918-1920. Fixed blade front and notch rear sights, with "COLT D.A. 45" on the left side of the barrel, two line Hartford address and patent markings (1884-1905) on top and ""UNITED STATES PROPERTY"" on the underside. An "eagle head/S20" proof on the top left of the frame near the hammer with the Rampant Colt on the rear near the grips. The frame and crane are marked with 237432 which is within the 1917 serial number range (150000-301000). The butt is marked "U.S. Army Model 1917/No/80969. Fitted with smooth walnut grips with lanyard swivel.
