Condition: Very good. The blade is in near new condition with all of the original polish. The brass guard has an attractive age patina. The leather wrap is original and in fine condition, with tight wire wrap. The iron scabbard is in very good condition with no dents. The scabbard has been lightly cleaned and has some pitting on the drag. This is an excellent Model 1840 saber.
