Blade front and folding rear sights, as well as integral claw mount bases on the solid matte rib, marked "GREIFELT & Co: SUHL". The upper right rear is marked "FLUSSSTAHL" and "FR KRUPP ESSEN" on the opposite. The upper barrel is a 16 gauge shotgun with 2 3/4 inch chamber and choked extra full and the lower barrel is marked 8.7mm. The barrels are nitro proofed and are marked with various German proof marks. The action is relief engraved with a floral vine design and two Roe deer in a wooded scene on the left and a buck Red Stag in a wooded scene on the right. Under lever, cocking indicators, double triggers, (forward adjustable) and mounted with a multi-point checkered walnut forearm with engraved hardware and pistol grip stock with horn grip cap, cheekpiece, wrist mounted safety, serrated horn buttplate, sling swivel and cartridge compartment with relief engraved lid. Length of pull is 13 1/2 inches.

Condition: Partially refinished, the barrels which retain 90% thinning blue finish. The remaining metal surfaces have a smooth gray patina. The wood is very good with some scattered minor pressure dents, dings and some minor bruises in the otherwise crisp checkering. The markings and engraving remain clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent.
