Revolutionary War–dated partly-printed vellum DS, one page, 11.5 x 6.5, May 14, 1782. Appointment for Andrew Peters to be "a Lieutenant Colonel in the Massachusetts Line." Signed in the left margin by Boudinot as president of Continental Congress, and signed in the lower left by Benjamin Lincoln as Secretary at War. In very good condition, with wrinkling, soiling, and small pieces missing from the red wax seal.
