Exceptional, rare and early mahogany 3-box magneto wall set featuring a Blake Transmitter and Bell 2-band hand receiver. Built for the Bell System by Western Electric. Crank box marked "Property of the Bell Telephone Company of Canada - Patented 1883 - Other Patents App'd For" - left side "27046" face. Transmitter stamped "Property of Bell Telephone Company of Canada - Use Not Licensed Under Any U.S Patents" face - "32141" right side. Hand receiver marked "The Bell Telephone Company of Canada, Montreal" "3167" on butt end. Condition: Excellent. Complete, original condition including gutta percha 2-band hand set. Original surface including painted black trim. Battery box has two small surface chips one at the outer edge of the writing platform and one to the lower right rear edge. A superb example of an historically significant Canadian telephone. 31.5" x 8" x 7"
