From Quentin Tarantino's newest blockbuster, "Django Unchained", this is star Jamie Foxx's hero screen worn and used "Aussie Knife" and sheath. The was custom made and designed by Master Knifemaker, Chuck Stapel, Knife Maker To The Stars™, who has, over the last thirty years, created many of the famous iconic knives seen in major motion pictures and TV series. This is the trooper field knife that Foxx "takes" from one of the Assize guards (who uses it to cut Jamie's bonds), and is then used by Foxx. This is the real thing. No stunt or rubber version was ever made. It's crafted from special heat treated high carbon 5160 steel, to a special semi-polish to cut the glare in the camera. The very unique one-of-a-kind blade styling was designed by Mr. Stapel, with further notes by Tarantino himself. The blade was crafted as one main piece with special finger guard. It has an extra thick tang, which has custom shaped and fitted naturally harvested elk antler handle plates joined with high polished aluminum rivets. The hero screen used sheath is made of real leather, with rivets and machine sewn seams, and includes a belt loop. It shows slight signs of wear from its use in the production. This is the first Stapel screen used Hero knife to ever come up for auction! It comes with a special Certificate of Authenticity signed by Mr. Stapel himself. (Knife is approx. 11" long, blade from spine to edge is approx. 2"). Be extra careful. This unique one-of-a-kind magnificent work of art is very, very sharp!
