"WINNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED AFTER THE AUCTION ENDS BY THE AUCTIONEER ONCE ALL BIDS HAVE BEEN PROCESSED TO DETERMINE THE WINNER FOR EACH LOT."
Rare and infamous “Dewey Defeats Truman” issue of the Chicago Tribune. On 3 November 1948 the Chicago Tribune jumped the gun and declared Dewey the next President in their early morning newspaper release. They were in such a hurry that a few lines of the story were even printed upside down. The paper was quickly recalled, though several copies had already been sold to the public. Newspaper complete and intact. Approximate 2 square inch tear along fold, and edgewear, otherwise an exceedingly rare original issue in very good condition.
