Up for auction is this rare First Edition copy of David Humphreys Miller's "Custer's Fall-The Indian Side of the Story". Beginning in 1935, the author spent over twenty years researching the book by interviewing, in their own language, 71 Indians who had taken part in the battle. According to Wikipedia, Miller learned 14 Indian languages and was adopted into 16 separate Indian families; He was given the name "Chief Iron White Man" by Black Elk, the Oglala Sioux medicine man who had participated in Little Big Horn. The book is bound in blue cloth with gilt title on spine and is in excellent condition, showing little to no wear. The dust jacket is in very good condition, showing some wear at the top and bottom of the spine and along the front. The book measures 8.25" x 5.75".
