(MGM, 1951) Pencil and watercolor on 15 x 20” illustration board of a test costume for Robert Taylor’s character “Marcus” in Quo Vadis. Herschel McCoy was one of the most prolific costume designers in Hollywood history, having contributed to at least 131 films including the Charlie Chan and Mr. Moto films of the 1930’s, and died young at age 43. Light toning and dampstaining at margins, interior is Very Fine. Signed "V." at the lower right.
