Colt model 1860 Army revolver, .44 caliber percussion with rare Schenk patent hair trigger device, serial number “159955”. F. Schenk of San Antonio, Texas was granted patent number 57,978 on September 11, 1866 for a hair trigger for Colt revolving pistols that could be adjusted without the assistance of a gunsmith, only requiring a screwdriver. Approx. 50-60% cylinder scene remains going light. Good grips with 30-40% varnish showing some dings, mars, and small losses at the toes. Nice uncleaned patina overall with deep mustard colored patina on the guard which is stamped “Patent”. A rare Colt. Est: $6,000 - $12,000
