Colt Single Action army revolver, .45 caliber, 7-1/2” barrel, fully and ornately deep chisel cut engraved, gold plated, screwless ivory grips, “Have Gun Will Travel” Arvo Ojala commemorative. Engraved in blockletters on right side of barrel. Backstrap engraved “Paladin”. Serial #SA46844. The pistol is cased in a fancy contoured and velvet lined deluxe laminated wood case with Colt engraved plaque on top of lid, which isinscribed with Colt logos, and in block letters “Have Gun Will Travel / Arvo Ojala Commemorative / 45 Colt Serial No. 1 / #SA45844 / One of one only”. The pistol is in excellent to mint unfired condition. Thecase shows numerous scratches and mars from being shown as a display. Arvo Ojala was a Hollywood personality who, in the 1950’s, taught western stars to fast-draw and shoot single action pistols. He was recognized forhis high quality holster rigs and in the opening scene of gunsmoke, he is the bandit in black gunned down by James Arness. Arvo was friend to many Hollywood stars including Ronald Regan, James Arness, Jason Boon, and
