Colt Single Action Army revolver, 7-1/2” barrel, .44-40 caliber, period scroll engraved with later raised carved ivory one-piece grips showing Sheriff Eagle County, Colorado on raised carved badge on left,hang-man’s noose draped over gallows on right. Serial #82319. The revolver shows traces of old nickel finish drifting to grey metal and approx. 5-10% nickel remaining. There is some scattered light to slightlyheavy pitting and erosion, some cleaning long ago, and just some general wear. The front sight has been slimmed slightly. All matching visible serial numbers. Action good, bore fair to good. This exact revolver was sold by Little Johns, November 1998, item 200. Our consignor at that time indicated that this single action was the property of a Sheriff Ebey, however the documentation has been lost by a subsequent owner.
