Manufactured in 1903. Standard two line Hartford barrel address with "COLT. D.A. 38" on the left side. The casehardened frame has the three line patent dates and circled Rampant Colt. Matching numbers on frame, trigger guard, and back strap with the assembly number 519 on the loading gate. Fitted with rarely seen factory one piece walnut grip.

Condition: Very fine. The revolver retains 70% original blue finish with the balance mostly a smooth gray patina. The grip straps have a smooth gray patina with a small chip absent along with a small hairline crack on the back strap. The frame retains 80% original case colors with the balance a gray. There is some minor spotting mostly on the cylinder. The earlier production replacement grip is very fine with a minor chip missing on the right side near the bottom and some minor dings (mostly near the bottom), with some minor high edge wear and some minor bruises in the overall crisp checkering.
