Colt Model 1860 Army revolver with matching shoulder stock, .44 cal., 8” round barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood stocks, #12554. This gun is in overall good to very good condition showing an even brown patina with some slight nicks are mars around the lever catch at the front of the barrel; very good bore, good action and markings, all matching serial numbers including the wedge and arbor; approx. 50% original cylinder scene visible; very good grips with two distinct military cartouches. The accompanying shoulder stock is in overall good to very good condition and is numbered “12553/12554” on the underside of the brass attaching arm and on the top of the brass butt plate. The brass mounts of the stock show a pleasing taffy patina and the sling swivel is present; the screw on the bottom tang is an old replacement; the wood is in overall good condition with some scattered nicks, mars and scratches from carry and storage and what appears to be an old compression on the left side of the stock toward the top; there is also a very clear inspector’s cartouche on the front portion of the right side of the stock. Finding a Colt 1860 Army with an original shoulder stock is difficult; finding one with the matching serial numbered shoulder stock is exceptional. Est.: $18,500-$20,000.
