Colt Bisley .45 LC SN: 319760
'First Generation' Restored single action six-shot revolver chambered in .45 Colt, manufactured circa 1911. Introduced in 1894, the Colt Bisley was marketed as a target revolver and it got it's name from the Bisley shooting range in England. Features a blued & case hardened refinish, replacement 7 1/2" barrel with standard SAA makings & an added "(BISLEY MODEL)" stamp, blade front sight, 'v' notched rear sight, ejector rod, smooth trigger, wide low profile hammer spur, fluted replacement cylinder and two-piece brown hard rubber grips with Rampant Colt decor. Includes a copy of the Colt factory letter confirming it's configuration and stating it was shipped to Norvell Shapleigh Hdwe. Co. in St. Louis, MO on October 14, 1911 in a five gun shipment. Serial numbers match on the frame, trigger guard and backstrap. The barrel, cylinder and hammer are in near new condition while the remainder of the revolver shows wear and scattered pin prick pitting under the finish. Action is crisp with three clicks & very good lock-up, bore is pristine and the hard rubber grips are good+ as worn semi-smooth with a couple minor losses. The grips show some scratched out inscriptions with one date intact, "July-25-32." Condition is NRA very good as restored. ***C&R Firearm***
