Manufactured after 1904. Lyman ramp beaded blade front sight and sporting type rear sight with the upper tang tapped for sight mounting. Barrel marked with the two line legend above "SPECIAL SMOKELESS STEEL" ahead of rear sight and "30-40" at the breech. The upper tang is stamped with a star indicating that the inspector considered this rifle to be a high grade gun and "Marlin/MODEL 93". 3/4 magazine tube and mounted on a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a checkered hard rubber factory buttplate.

Condition: Very fine as modified (Receiver tapped on left side, front sight replaced with Lyman ramp style). The barrel and magazine retain 75% original blue finish thinning to a brown. The receiver and lever retain 80% original case colors. The wood is excellent with some minor handling marks.

B) Barrel has the two line address/patent date marking above "SPECIAL SMOKELESS STEEL" ahead of the folding ladder rear sight and "25-36M" stamped at the breech. Upper receiver tang marked "MODEL/1893". Full length magazine and replacement front sight. Smooth forearm and straight grip stock with carbine buttplate.

Condition: Very good. The barrel and magazine retain traces of faded original blue finish in and around the protected areas and the remaining metal surfaces retain traces of original case colors in the protected areas showing heavy amounts around the trigger, with the overall balance a smooth brown patina. There is some very scattered minor pitting. The wood is very good with a couple minor gouges and a number of minor handling marks.
