Limited edition re-issue of Cointreaus art deco white nun
decanter. The original was designed in 1936 by Jean Mercier.
Please note: This item does NOT contain any liqueur.
The souer blanche wears a tall white headpiece and gown
with a black button. She seems surprised to be carrying a very
large (for her) replica bottle of Cointreau liqueur. Her pajama-
like habit makes her look like a clown as in commedia del
arte or il Pagliachi
Cointreau is a clear, not-too-sweet liqueur made
from bitter ornages. It takes it name from the French family who
first distilled it over 200 years ago. Unbranded versions of this
drink are called triple-sec.
Measures 4-3/4 x 4 inches x 5 high. Limited edition:
12,755 of 15,000.
She is in excellent condition. Never used and still in the
original box. No chips, cracks or repairs.Contains no liquor/
liqueur. The box has
water damage and is torn as shown.
