1) Civil War U.S. Emerson & Silver Model 1860 Light Cavalry saber, with 35" double fuller blade and "U.S. D.F.M./ 1864" on the right ricasso and maker's mark on the reverse, brass 2-branch guard, Phrygian helmet pommel, leather and wire grip and iron scabbard. 2) U.S. Ames Model 1906 Cavalry Saber, with 35" blade, marked "A.S.Co./ (bomb)/ 1906" on the right ricasso and "U.S./J.C." Ordnance inspection mark on the opposite ricasso. The saber has a browned, iron guard and pommel, leather covered grip with twisted wire wrap and iron scabbard with brown finish.

Condition: 1) Good, with discoloration on the blade, a mixed patina on the brass, minor scuffing of the leather and moderate sheath wear and dings. 2) Fine, with fine blade and some spotting on the blade and mild handling marks overall. The hilt and scabbard retain most of the original brown finish.
