The lot features a fully front beaded knife sheath and early trade knife from the Cheyenne Native American Indians and dating to circa 1890-. The sheath features an Indian tanned hide construction with a traditional geometric beadwork pattern and old hand-rolled tin cone jingle dangles. The top of the sheath still shows the original braided strap attached and a fully beaded single piece of fringe. The beadwork is all glass trade seed beads with a semi-transparent white background, semi-transparent amber, sky padre blue, light pink, semi-transparent dark blue, and semi-transparent red. The piece shows a fine condition for its age and presents very well. Measures overall 10 inches in length by 3 inches wide. The knife measures 12.5 inches in length. From the collection of Ben Thompson.
