A great cowgirl outfit with Cody, Wyoming and TE Ranch history. Lot consists of Charlotte's custom inlaid boots, with “CEG" down the sides and her TE brand on the front. These are mounted with “minty" ladies size Visalia silver inlaid spurs, and tooled straps with scalloped edge conchos. Her 3X Nutria hat is marked inside, "Made by John B. Stetson Company especially for Charlotte Elaine Groves"; with braided horsehair hatband and a silver concho. The showy boots are still very usable, but do show some wear and repair, with zippers down the back. Also included in the lot is an original photograph of Charlotte on horseback at the TE Ranch, circa 1920, in which she is wearing a beaded vest and an amazing pair of pinto woolie chaps. 10 1/2" x 15 1/2". The TE Ranch was the home of W.F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody. Charlotte's father Stanley Grove bought the TE Ranch after Cody's death in 1917. They kept the ranch as a family get-away until 1930.
