Charles Dickens (February, 7,1812-June 9, 1870), is regarded by many as the greatest novelist of the Victorian era. His works enjoyed unprecedented popularity during his lifetime, and by the 20th century, critics and scholars recognized him as a literary genius. His novels; David Copperfield, A Tale of Two Cities, Oliver Twist, Great Expectations, A Christmas Carol, etc. continue to apply to social consciousness today. He gave us some of the most memorable literary characters of all time, The Artful Dodger, Oliver, and Fagin from "Oliver Twist", Uriah Heep from "David Copperfield", and the unforgettable Ebeneezer Scrooge from "A Christmas Carol". This is a rare and historically significant piece.
