This lot consists of a pair of LePage percussion pistols. "LE PAGE ARQfr DU ROI" flanked by a leaf motif is inlaid in gold on the top barrel flat with the number "1" inlaid in gold at the breech and on the upper tang. The breech plug has a pair of gold inlaid bands. Scroll and border engraving is featured on the upper tang, lock plate, hammer and spur trigger guard. "LE PAGE/A PARIS" is inlaid in gold inside an oval on the lock plate. The damascus barrel is rifled. Equipped with a set trigger. The stock has a clam shell engraving on the forend and the checkered grip has a flared butt with a horn extension fitted with a lightly engraved iron cap. Comes with a partitioned case lined in green felt. The following accessories are included: a period powder flask, single conical bullet mold, screwdriver with shell motif carved on horn handle, and ramrod/cleaning rod..

Condition: Very good. The barrel retains traces of original brown finish in the protected areas and retains 40% of the damascus pattern with some light pin point pitting and a couple long tool marks (left side). The remaining metal surfaces retain over 95% original case colors. The revarnished stock is fine with some minor handling marks and a small hair line crack in the grip area. There is a long crack on the horn. Overall the grip checkering remains crisp. The case is good with some separation along the joints of the lid, a large chip missing near the bottom, and some minor handling marks, with heavily worn lining. The brass handle is missing a screw from the base. Mechanically fine.

The remaining metal surfaces retain 30% original case colors. The metal in front of the trigger is cracked at the screw. The revarnished stock is good with a long hairline crack near the lock plate and some minor handling marks. There is a minor crack on the loose horn buttcap. Overall the grip checkering remains crisp. Mechanically fine.
