Painting featured on cover of CM Russell Art Auction cover, 1990. Blake was born in California, now lives in Texas doing art and raising horses. Blake traveled with his great grandfather, a pioneer horse breeder, and father, on the rodeo circuit. Lived for a time in Augusta, Montana in the Augusta Railroad Depot moved by Scotty Zion, south and west of town. Blake is well known for his cowboy culture bronzes, paintings, and artwork in posters, silk scarves, china, and furniture. His work is displayed at the CMR Museum, Buffalo Bill Historical Center, 3M Museum, Denver Museum, and Harmsen Collection. Monuments include CM Russell and his horse Monty in Great Falls, Montana and Kit Carson in Carson City, Nevada.
