The coins of Delmatius are scarce. After the death of Delmatius' uncle, Constantine the Great, in 337 A.D., Constantius II vied for power and attempted to eliminate those potential rivals who, unlike he and his brothers, were not actual sins of Constantine the Great. In 337 A.D., Delmatius was killed by his own men, perhaps instigated by Constantius II. JC-30101-144 JC-30244
