The reverse on this coin features a campgate, and reads: PROVIDENTIAE CAESS "(Dedicated to) the foresight of our Caesars". Constantine II was the eldest son of Constantine the Great, and was born in 311 A.D. From 337 A.D. to 340 A.D. he reigned jointly with his younger brothers, Constans and Constantius II, but eventually sought to rule outright. His efforts were rebuked by Constans, who had him ambushed and killed in 340 A.D. JC-30101-88 JC-30188
