Bram Stoker Signed First Edition Book: Dracula Bram Stoker Signed First Edition Book: [I]Dracula
Bram Stoker Signed First Edition Book: Dracula (Westminster [London]: Archibald Constable and Company, 1897), first edition, presumed first printing, first issue with no advertisements, viii-ix, 390 pages, yellow cloth with red lettering, signed and inscribed to Stoker's brother on the free front endpaper "Thornly Stoker from Bram 29.5.95". This is one of the most famous horror novels of all time and first editions are rare and sought-after. We feel privileged to be able to offer not only a first edition, but one signed by the author to his brother who helped him research the book! William Thornley Stoker was a prominent surgeon whose medical notes on transfusions and autopsies were found on Bram's early manuscript of this book and whose own experience with a mentally ill wife is echoed by that of Van Helsing in the novel. Only good condition, covers stained and worn, corners bumped, hinges cracked, still an incredibly desirable and rare copy of a landmark book. When Count Dracula said, "there are far worse things awaiting man than death," was he speaking of not bidding on this book?
