Brad Delp's pink 1977 membership card for the North Shore Musicians' Association, based in Lynn, Massachusetts, 4 x 2.25, signed along the left edge in blue ballpoint, "Bradley E. Delp." The card is filled out in type with his name and Social Security number. The reverse is stamped to certify that his dues were paid in full. In very good condition, with creasing and signs of use. A year earlier on Boston's debut album, Delp sang: 'Well we were just another band out of Boston / On the road to try to make ends meet / Playin' all the bars, sleepin' in our cars / And we practiced right on out in the street.' By the time he signed this card, Boston had become famous around the globe—their album spawned three charting singles, and they became the first band in history to make their New York City debut at Madison Square Garden. A fabulous piece that reveals Delp's local roots as a North Shore native. From the Brad Delp Collection, and accompanied by a letter of provenance from Micki Delp.
