For your consideration in this lot we have a Bob -O- Link bobsled with its blue padding. The sled was manufactured by Withington based out of Minot, Maine between 1940-1960. They manufactured a variety of ski equipment. The bob -o- link sled is one of the only sleds that could be steered by a set of movable short skis. The sled is constructed out of wood with a metal frame and has a blue synthetic pad on the back. It features a sticker across the front reading "Bobsled - The Sled that Skis - Bob -O- Link - Original by Withington W. Minot Me. U.S.A. - A Swiss Inspiration - Speed Maneuverability". The sled also shows a set of handle bar connected to the steering skis and also has a pull lever on each side connecting to the brake system. The sled is in good condition overall with some wear on the piece due to age. The sled measures 59" long by 22" wide.
