Featured for bidding in this lot is a possible prototype revolver unusually chambered in .32 ACP (.32 Automatic Colt Pistol or .32 Auto cartridge). The firearm is unmarked except for “7.65 with the stamping “8” followed by a tiny underlined “R,” the initials “L.D.” on the extreme lower left grip strap and several Belgian proof marks on the back of the cylinder and on the right side of the frame directly behind the approximately 1 ¾ inch round barrel. This five-shot revolver features lovely diamond checkered black hard rubber grips that are in excellent condition, a full blue finish, and a hammerless double-action. It is also complete with loading gate on the right side of the frame and cylinder release pins with bushing. This tiny pocket revolver measures only 4 3/8 inches from end to end and displays superb workmanship inside and out. This is a remarkably well-made firearm that may never have been put into production. It is also very unusual that it was made to fire the popular semi-rimmed .32 auto pistol cartridge. Overall, the hand gun shows very-good original condition, boasting excellent blue finish, and a very-nice action, and a strong bore. The proof marks on the pistol indicate manufacture to around the first quarter of the 20th century, qualifying the revolver as a Curio and Relic Hand Gun, requiring FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check. Serial Number: NSN.
