Montreal. February 25th, 1895. 6 page hand written letter from Beker & Farewell on their letterhead with proposal to American Bank Note Company to use their counterfeit proof banknote paper. The letter includes a hand written copy of the Canadian patent and specifications of the paper. The letter also refers to the previous correspondence to ABNC from Beker offering them a 30% interest in the paper at no cost to them except for a percentage of the profits. The concept behind the paper design is a varying thickness of the paper that could be felt and not seen and would be extremely difficult for a counterfeiter to duplicate. Extremely detailed and interesting "Forgery-proof" banknote paper letter from a Canadian company to ABNC. Also included is a internal correspondence sheet from ABNC. XF condition. Rare collateral correspondence relating to banknote printing. ABNC.
