Rare original vintage glossy 10 x 8 contact sheet of outtake photos taken by Robert Whittaker, featuring twelve different images from the famous 'Butcher Cover' photo session for the band's ninth studio album, Yesterday and Today. The photos were taken by Whittaker at the Vale Studio in Chelsea, London on March 25, 1966. In very good to fine condition, with scattered light creasing and dimpling to the surface. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks. Whittaker's photo shoot, which features the Fab Four covered in raw meat, dolls and false teeth, was inspired by the German surrealist Hans Bellmer's images of dismembered doll and mannequin parts. A unique, behind-the-scenes series of images from this infamous photo shoot.
