<B>Austrian and Belgian Royalty Lot of Three </B></I><B><I>Cartes de Vistie</B></I></B></I><B>,</B></I> including: Princess Stephanie of Belgium and her husband Crown Prince Rudolf of Austria; Princess Stephanie and her father King Leopold II of Belgium at the time of her wedding; and Empress Charlotte (or Carlota) of Mexico, wife of Emperor Maximilian I of Mexico and sister of King Leopold II of Belgium. All are 2.5" x 4", with light pencil notations on the reverse. The CDV of Stephanie and Leopold is bordered in red. All are near fine.<BR>Under pressure from his parents to marry, Rudolf, heir to the imperial throne of Austria-Hungary, arrived in Brussels on March 5, 1880 to spend time with Stephanie. He announced their engagement a mere two days later.
