<B>Archive of Letters and Photographs Relating to the Pan Pacific Auditorium.</B></I> This diverse lot of material includes several letters from Phil Henderson to his brother, Cliff Henderson, a major promoter of aviation shows in the 1920s and 1930s and founder of Palm Desert, California. The photographs, mostly black and white 8" x 10" press photos, show some of the major players involved in the construction of the Pan Pacific Auditorium, and also includes several photos of the auditorium in stages of construction. Another set of photos in the lot show a number of Hollywood luminaries at various premieres and the Ice Follies held at the auditorium. Hollywood legends pictured here include Alfred Hitchcock next to Jerry Lewis, Clark Gable, Bob Hope, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Ronald Reagan, Cesar Romero, and Joan Crawford.
