Relié par Simone Fontanes : plein maroquin blanc cassé, plats ornés d'un décor géométrique aux traits dorés ou noirs et de listels de cuir bleu clair et ocre, dos lisse, doublures et gardes de daim bleu clair, tranches dorées sur témoins, couv. et dos cons. Sous chemise en demi-maroq. blanc cassé et plats de papier artisanal dans les brun et bleu clair (dos de la chemise lég. jauni), sous étui.
20 lithographies en couleurs : plat sup. de la couverture, 15 hors-texte, 2 bandeaux et 2 culs-de-lampe par Carzou (Alep en Syrie 1907-2000 France), artiste multidisciplinaire qui a laissé des oeuvres en tapisserie, céramique, peinture, décoration d'intérieur, pour le théâtre, etc.
Edition originale tirée à 145 ex. sur vélin d'Arches à la forme signés par l'artiste et les présidente et vice-présidente de la Société bibliophilique (n° 44).
Ex. enrichi d'une des 8 suites en noir sur vélin d'Arches (il a été tiré 58 suites accompagnées d'une litho refusée dont 38 en couleurs et 20 en noir).
Dans une reliure de Simone Fontanes, qui exerça à Paris de 1958 à 1981, et dont le décor répond au style de Carzou. Un des plus beaux livres illustrés par Carzou.

After full payment, buyers are kindly requested to take away their purchases immediately after the auction or at the bookshop the next Tuesday after the auction 230 av. Louise, from 2 pm until 6 pm.
Goods will be send only after customers’ payment.
Packing and dispatching are entirely at the buyer’s own expense.
Books whose price exceed 100 (EUR) will be send by registered post.
Payment Details:
Payment will be made in Belgian Francs. We do not accept credit cards neither cheques whose total amount exceed 200 (EUR) or cheques not validated for higher sum.
Terms of sale require buyers to pay immediately for their purchases, which means that lots will be released to them only when full and cleared payment as been received by us
In addition to the hammer price, the buyer has to pay a buyer’s premium of 21%, V.A.T. inclusive, all strictly in cash and in Ero's (EUR)
In case of original art and if the principles of the author’s rights are applicable, an extra 4% must be paid on each hammer price of at least 1250 EUR
All items are assumed to be in good condition unless otherwise stated. Buyers are kindly invited to carry out their own inspection of the lots they want to buy. All items to be auctioned are on view for several days prior to the sale.
Returning an item after the striking of the hammer will not be accepted, whatever the reason put forward. Those items bought on order must be inspected within 8 days after receipt. Any return after this term will be refused.
All items of the catalogue with the mention « n.c. » (non collationné = not inspected) are not subject to return. Neither are those sold in lots (two items or more) works consisting in multiple volumes and periodicals or series.
If you cannot attend the auction, we can execute written bids on your behalf. To ensure a satisfactory service, it is necessary to make arrangements for the services at least one day before the sale.
On every purchase Belgian law only is applicable, and all cases of dispute are exclusively to the competence of the Brussels Chamber.
