2 Pages. New York, NY. September 5th, 1859, Letter from ABNC to Colonial Bank of Canada on an early ABNC letterhead (the company was formed in April of 1858). The letter lists the charges for each printing plate made and the amount of impressions that were taken from each plate, which is written to the left which is 1000 sheets printed for each except for the tint plate which had printed 5000. Includes "1-1-1-1"; "2-2-2-2"; "3-3-3-3"; "4-4-4-4"; and "5-5-5-5". The bottom has the signature of the first president of ABNC, Charles Toppan. The second page is on the letterhead of the Buffalo, Bradford and Pittsburgh Rail Road Company referring to a box containing "Colonial" printing, which could be a returned order or related material when the bank failed within 6 months of opening.
