A) Barrel has the two line address/1901-1909 patent date marking with "S&W D.A. 45" on the left side, and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the underside. The upper left rear of the frame is stamped with the flaming ordnance bomb and the butt has the four line U.S. Army model marking. Fitted with smooth grips and lanyard ring on the butt. With a "US" embossed holster ("C&K /1017 / AG" on belt loop) and web belt (marked "RM CO / 1942").

Condition: Fine, with 60% original blue finish remaining with the balance a smooth brown and gray patina with some mild spotting on the frame. The grips are fine with some minor dings and scratches. The holster is good with flex wear and worn marks. The stitching is tight. The belt is fine with some light fraying and an illegible name hand written on the back side.

B) U.S. Colt Model 1917 Double Action Revolver
Fixed front and notch rear sights, with "COLT D.A. 45" on the left side of the barrel, two line address and patent markings on top and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the underside. An "eagle/ S20" proof is present on the left side of the frame, with the Rampant Colt below it and standard U.S. markings on the butt with a lanyard swivel. Smooth walnut grips.

Condition: Fine, with 70% of the thinning original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina, bright edge wear, a mixed brown and gray on the grip straps and scattered handling marks and spotting. Grips are good, showing moderate wear with light pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
