A pair of George III Silver Candlesticks c.1813-1814
These magnificent candlesticks were made in Sheffield England by Kirby, Waterhouse and Co. centuries ago. I will use the appraisers description and terms for accuracy. Starting at the top, they have a removable foliate scrolled bobeche in a shell and band cup. You will find leaf designs on the candle nozzles and a leaf design to the drip pans. Moving down the candlestick is a foliate scrolled shoulder above a reeded tapering stem. It is the base of these candlesticks which have an aura of gentle lavishness. The bases are round, scrolled with high relief and scroll repousse. I hope the pictures below will help to convey their timeless beauty. Appraised at $10,000. *There is an additional pair of this set also available at a negotiated price for four*.

11 1/4 " H.
