The sword of characteristic Western Sudan form, the leather-covered grip with woven panel and stepped brass pommel, the long, straight, double-edged trade blade with triple fullers to either side. In its tooled and polychromed leather scabbard with flared tip, inscribed on the reverse with the signature of the maker, WORK OF TABEH MUHAMMAD WAHEED and owner, MUHAMMAD KAMBEH. The dagger with wooden grip and lightly-curved blade, in its leather scabbard.The cylindrical leather quiver with suspension band and numerous tassels, containing 10 arrows with cane shafts and barbed iron heads.Early 20th century.
