 A. HUMMEL  Marked Full Stock Percussion Kentucky Rifle

Rifle is equipped with a conventional fixed rear sight, with an early 20th Century replacement globe sight in the front dovetail and a folding peep sight mounted on the wrist behind the tang. The top of the barrel is stamped "A.HUMMEL" with a drum bolster and double set triggers. Brass tipped stock, with a wooden ramrod, raised cheekpiece and a smooth buttplate. Consignor notes list "A. HUMMEL" as Adam Hummel of Johnston, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, circa 1870-1875.
