A Costume from "The Shootist." Paramount, 1976. Three pieces; the first a beige cotton shirt with faint red, yellow and gray stripes, long sleeves, one breast pocket, tuck-in tab on placket, Western Costume Co. label reads "No. 2655-1/ John Wayne / Sleeve 34 / Collar 18 1/2," the second a black wool and cotton vest, four front pockets, seven button front closure, WCC label reads "No. 2642-2 / John Wayne / Chest 50 / Triple;" the third a pair of black and gray striped wool pants, WCC label reads "No. 2643-2 / John Wayne / Waist 41 1/2 / Inseam F. 31 1/2 / Back 33 3/4;" further WCC stamp on inside waistband; worn by Wayne in different scenes including at the boarding house, in the barber shop, and on the 'Last Day' (with the white shirt from Lot 44026).
