Mounted entirely in silver, the hilt and scabbard elaborately engraved, nielloed and gilded overall in Kubachi style and struck with a maker's mark in the form of an eagle on the reverse of the locket. The lightly-curved, handforged blade with narrow back fuller and broad central fuller and radiused tip. End of the 19th century.
