Mounted entirely in silver, the hilt and scabbard elaborately engraved, nielloed and gilded overall in Kubachi style and struck with a maker's mark in the form of an eagle on the reverse of the locket. The lightly-curved, handforged blade with narrow back fuller and broad central fuller and radiused tip. End of the 19th century. The eagle mark is typically associated with weapons made to order for Russian officers. Blade age-toned.Overall length 92.6 cm. Condition I
