Fine 19th Century Germanic Side-by-Side Percussion Shotgun, NSNV, beautifully gold inlaid to top of rib ''C.L. Schindler in Zella Bey Gotha'', which is repeated in part at both lockplates; 32-1/2'' fine damsacus barrels, with beautifully engraved hammers, lockplates, triggerguard, buttplate, and ramrod receptacle; hammers and sideplates with additional platina inlay. Hammers are adorned in fish head motifs and scrolls; lockplates both possess safety levers and are also engraved in foliate scrolls with fine detail inlay; triggerguard is similarly adorned with ovoid panel showing hunting dog scene. Triggerguard terminates in a fine tight clockspring-type coil. Typical German carved cheekpiece walnut stock with lightly adorned steel buttplate. Rear sling eyelet has been removed and filled. Striped hickory ramrod is present. Condition is excellent showing nice light even patina to damascus barrels, some very minor erosion near nipple shields. Stock shows moderate flat!
