1909-O $5 MS62 PCGS. The opportunity to bid on a Mint State 1909-O half eagle is a rarity, indeed, but the opportunity to bid on multiple Mint State '09-O's is virtually unheard of. Even AU grade pieces are only offered from time to time. This date, from an extremely limited mintage of just 34,200 coins, is clearly the rarest Indian half eagle, and it is also among the elite issues of 20th century U.S. gold coinage. Jeff Garrett and Ron Guth remarked: "This is one of the most sought-after issues in the series because of the low mintage and general rarity in any Mint State grade. It has long been considered a key date and is always in feverish demand." This piece is sharply detailed with a bold mintmark and excellent luster. The obverse is frosty orange-gold while the reverse is lighter yellow-gold with faint hairlines that limit the grade.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
