18th century small sword, probably French, measures 37" overall with 30" blade, the hilt is nicely chiseled steel with stands of arms, cannons, flags, drums, etc. The guard and pommel are matching, the grip is copperwith copper wire wrap and background engraving. The guard and ricasso show traces of original gold gilt. The blade is nicely engraved and shows a stylized man in the moon with a mustache, or a comical sun king. The blade may have been reduced slightly; condition is good to very good. Est.: $900-$1,800

We are open Tuesday thru Friday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Little John's will be closed the Friday after the auction. Preview on October 27th 7 28th 9:00 to 11:00 am each day.

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
