18AR-45 FLINTLOCK HORSEMANS PISTOLEarly flintlock horseman’s size holster pistol with fancy iron mounts, “Banana” shaped lock and maker marked barrel. The barrel shows 3 pointed crown with “H.G.” in 3 small marks also standing lion facing leftat the center with crown on head. Measures 20” overall with a 13” barrel of .60 caliber smoothbore. The side plate is pierced iron with scroll decoration and the butt and cap is nicely chiseled steel. Simple plain steelguard and ramrod ferruls with rear ferrule showing early long point extending in the stock. The stock shows raised carving and molding around the metal. Very good plus condition with light cleaning. Original flint with all correct parts. The barrel shows fancy engraving and another small proof almost hidden at the left rear of breech with “OV”.
