1807 50C Draped Bust MS64 NGC. O-110a, R.2. This variety is among the most common of the 11 known 1807 Draped Bust die marriages, an ideal candidate for date or type collectors. Of course, high quality examples such as this near-Gem specimen are not easily located. Probably only about four or five Choice or Gem Mint State examples of the O-110 die marriage exist, in all die states. The extensive peripheral die cracks on both sides indicate that this example is a late die state. A remarkable piece with fully lustrous satin surfaces and excellent design definition. Both sides have pleasing gray-brown surfaces with attractive rose and peripheral blue toning. Census: 18 in 64, 8 finer (12/06) for all 1807 Draped Bust varieties.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
