10ga underlever big-game gun by E.M. Reilly & Co showing Oxford St. London and Rue Scribe Paris address. The bores are rifled from breech to muzzle. Action is underlever type with exposed hammers, double-triggers, finely bank-note scroll engraved with hammer safeties. Serial #16585. Barrels measure 28”, show three-leaf folding rear sights, with hand-filed raised rib. The sights are beautifully engraved and gold-lined inlaidmarked 150 and 200 for yardage. The gun remains in very good original condition showing 30-40% original finish and Damascus pattern on barrels, some scattered light to moderate pitting and erosion. Most of theheavier pitting at the muzzle. Some slight cleaning long ago. The action shows 30-50% case hardening with some very colorful areas. The grip cap and tang are also nicely engraved. The original steel but is retained. The gun is stocked in good quality walnut which is nicely checkered. The stock is in good to very good condition with some minor scratching.
