Rare A.J. Ordnance Thomas Semi-Automatic Pistol
This "Thomas D.A." semi-automatic pistol was manufactured in the 1970s in Covina, California, by A.J. Ordnance with a limited production of approximately 1,000. The pistol is similar in appearance to a large Walther and has a very unusual double action only design. The double action only system has a unique patented stirrup locking system actuated upon correctly gripping the pistol, thereby locking the action for firing. The pistol has a polished blue finish on the sides of the slide with the remaining surfaces having a flat or brushed finish. The left front of the slide is marked "Thomas / CALIBER .45 ACP" with the A.J. Ordnance logo and three line address to the rear and the two-line patent information on the right side of the slide directly below the ejection port. Fixed sights and fitted with black checkered two piece plastic grips.

Excellent. The pistol retains over 99% of the polished and brushed blue finishes with limited light edge wear. The grips are very good with some minor scratches. The checkering is crisp.
